ARVGS Saphira

ARVGS Saphira is the flagship of the Tarana System Defense Fleet under the Avrora Void Guard. The Saphira is a Drurvrora-class escort carrier created by the Rungrid Shipyards hailing from the dwarvish world of Belgon Prime. It is crewed by one hundred and twenty souls which include both Avrora Void Guard personnel, marines, and pilots. It has a complement of sixteen voidcrafts consisting of ten ISF-14AG Starhawk interceptors and six FB104 Moggador fighter bombers which form the four squadrons of the Saphira. The Saphira is armed with a micromissile battery on her aft and flak throwers around her hull as point-defense weapons. For voidship battles, she has two light laser cannons, and one heavy laser cannon. The Saphira is currently under the command of Rear Admiral Duskeria Clawedhart.

Originally commissioned as the ARS Khaladid during the first contact war between the Avrora Republic and the Kaytet Dynasty, it had served for almost a century in the Avrora Navy until she was decommissioned under the navy's modernization project. Upon being decommissioned, she was then transferred to system defense and anti-piracy duties and assigned to the Tarana System where she has been serving since then.
