Commander Shima Enass

Commander Shima Enass is the first officer and second-in-command of the Daggoroh-class corvette, Lady Kiavyra. She is responsible for handling the ship's and each onboard departments' logistics and budget. Additionally, she acts as an overseer to all ship deck departments and ensures the safety of both crew and ship, and the efficient management of each deck.

Shima is a local of the Tarana colony, born and raised in one of its more affluent and central cities. A member of a wealthy family who owned a sizable food processing company, she was the fourth of six siblings and thus was fated to vanish to obscurity or be wedded off to another influential family. Having been shown what her place was in the family, Shima took matters into her own hands once she reached the age of becoming. Having been schooled in the arts of business and diplomacy, Shima took the chance to shift her education path when the opportunity presented itself much to the chagrin of her parents. The then young lashunta, after graduating from business school found herself running off to the nearest Avrora Naval Academy, partially in rebellion to her parents and to escape an offered arranged marriage, but mostly cause she hoped that joining the fleets would offer her an out from Tarana.

Unfortunately, while she excelled in the academic disciples during her stay in the academy, she was found lacking in the more physical aspects required by the Navy for their cadets and soon enough she was dropped from the selection process. Still her knack for effeciently finding ways to lower ship operational costs without sacrificing vessel and crew performance was noticed. Instead of being forced to return home in shame, she was instead transferred to the Void Guard Academy where she began specializing in logistics and operations management. Upon the completion of her studies and training, she was fully inducted into the the Void Guard as an officer in the Tarana System Defense fleet, partially thanks to the recommendation from the local planetary naval academy. She was assigned to the fleet logistics corps for most of her early years however due to the loss of personnel from the increased number of pirate attacks, she has been reassigned to field duty on the Lady Kiavyra corvette. While she may not have been able to leave the system as a navy sailor like she first planned, she took solace in the fact that her duties in the Void Guard was more than enough to effectively rid herself of her family and negate whatever "personal duties" she needed to fulfill to them.
