M-78H Gunhild Heavy

Practice art of a mass-produced, medium combat mech in a Dungeons and Dragons game set in Mage Hand Press' Dark Matter setting. The M78H Gunhild Heavy is a modified variant of the standard Gunhild. Intended as a medium-range support mech, the Gunhild Heavy has additional torso armor plating, an up-armored head unit with improved targeting systems, an auto cannon, and an enhanced power generator to compensate for the additional weight. While having the "heavy" title, it is still considered a medium mech and is for all intents and purposes, still a Gunhild. The Algalm Republic military, wanting to increase their strikewing capabilities without fielding additional more costly heavy mechs, opted to field these modified Gunhilds as a cheaper alternative.
