Chief Medical Officer Akemi Mitsuko

Doctor Akemi Mitsuko is the chief medical officer of the Daggoroh-class corvette, Lady Kiavyra. She is in charge of medical readiness and the supervision of the ship's crew. She and her team of medical personnel provide patient care and field trauma care and resuscitation to those who are in need of it be it from the ship's crew, from the onboard mercs, or to any civilians they come across.

Akemi, like most of the ship's crew, is a local of the Tarana colony. Born and raised in one of the colony's equatorial cities. She came from a commoner clan, though one that is highly respected in their city due to their status as one of the brave pioneers of their culture rich city. Akemi is the oldest of three siblings and much like her mother, had chosen the medical field as her path of life, becoming successful and experienced through years of study and smart work. Her path eventually led her to raising a family of her own, married to a tradesman and a mother of two.

With the arrival of the pirate fleet and the start of their operations in the system however, came the end of her relatively quiet life with the death of her husband during a pirate attack on Tarana's moon trading hub. Now a widow, and with both children now of adult age with separate lives, the kitsune saw little need to remain relatively secured in her home city. Partially spurred by sorrow and anger at the death of her husband, Akemi answered the Avrora Void Guard's call for medics. Due to her extensive experience as a civilian doctor, she was immediately accepted, given basic combat training for self-defense, before being assigned to the Lady Kiavyra as chief medical officer where she had served for two years and continues to serve in.
